Brown Collegiate Scholars Program

Brown Collegiate Scholars Program

The Brown Collegiate Scholars Program seeks to empower academically motivated public-school students who live and learn in Providence to explore their interests and strengthen their academic preparation to identify, select, pay for and attend colleges that align with their aspirations.

The Brown Collegiate Scholars Program offers students in the Providence Public School District four years of year-round activities at no cost to scholars or their families. The program provides students with the knowledge and skills to support their college aspirations.

Programming takes place on Brown’s campus on College Hill and in the Jewelry District, exposing scholars to life as a college student. Students experience both immersive summer programming and year-round support including one-on-one advising, academic tutoring, mentoring, college visits and workshops focused on financial literacy and guiding scholars and their families through the college application and selection process.

About the Program

The Brown Collegiate Scholars Program is a free, four-year college access program that provides Providence Public School District students with the essential skills of applying to college and seeking financial aid.
